hris "Bo" Isaac a talented young man from the small mining town of Wheelwright in Floyd County Kentucky. Floyd County forms part of the "Country Music highway" on US 23 which has recently been designated as a National Scenic Byway. Many very talented country and bluegrass performers were born and raised along this 144 mile stretch of highway in the Appalachian Mountains, including Loretta Lynn, Billy Ray Cryus, The Judds, Patty Loveless, Crystal Gayle, Ricky Skaggs, Dwight Yoakam and many more. There is no doubt that Bo Isaac's name will be included in that group in the near future.
Bo was introduced to bluegrass at a young age by his grandparents Judy and Jr. Isaac. Billie Jean Osborne, the founder of The Kentucky Opry, was another important person in Bo's Life. She took him under her wing and gave him the opportunity to fiddle and dance with the Kentucky Opry Jr. pro's at the tender age of five. (This is the same organization that produced country star Rebecca Lynn Howard).
Bo has already been a band member with several top groups on the bluegrass circuit including Larry Cordle and Lonseome Standard Time, Dave Evans and Riverbend, Ernie Thacker and Route 23, Gerald Evans and Paradise, and others. Bo is now ready to take center stage with his group "The Wheelwrights", and launch his own career.
This is Bo's first solo Cd project
and it was masterfully produced by Mountain Hearts, Steve Gulley
(thanks Steve). Steve and everyone associated with this CD gave
it all they had and the results prove it. It is a very special
project for an extraordinary person with extraordinary talent --
Bo Isaac. There's no doubt that his music, talent and personality
will make a major impact on the Bluegrass Music Circuit.
